LOVE LOVE LOVE Miss Ivy – she is such a charming little girl – smiling and clapping and just absolutely adorable. I didn’t want to let her go home, but I think her happiness level was tied into the presence of her mom and it would likely plummet if Mom left without her. Miss Ivy is too precious to make so unhappy, so I let her leave the studio at the end of her session with her mom.

This little man decided he DEFINITELY wanted to be in on the turkey action for Thanksgiving (and maybe catch a few football games on the TV with dad?) He arrived two weeks early but weighed in at a whopping 9lbs 9 oz! I can only imagine how big he would have been had he hung out inside his momma until his due date!

Eighteen months ago Sammy gave me a run for my money at Scottsdale Civic Center plaza for his 2 year portraits. Last November we went for a merry chase around DC Ranch Market Street to capture some beautiful holiday portraits with his mom and Grandma. This year we ventured to the McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park in Scottsdale for holiday portraits. Sammy has grown into a really delightful boy – he’s slowed down *a bit* and love to flash his handsome smile! It’s always a pleasure to see children grow year after year!
What more can a photographer ask for – Beautiful back yard, perfect lighting, adorable (and cooperative!) subjects? Doesn’t get any better than that! Thank you to Jen and her family for a fun session!
Love, love, LOVE this little guy. His parents are a riot – I’ve never laughed so much at any session. Even though they are from Nebraska, they redeemed themselves by attending college in Iowa, though they “slummed it” at Iowa State.

Miss Sofia is the newest member of the babyJACKS first year portrait “club.” She was an angel during her newborn session and I am looking forward to watching her grow over the coming year!
I had the pleasure this fall to work with an absolutely lovely couple as they anticipated the arrival of thier first child, Benjamin. So much love and excitement surrounded the arrival of this little guy! Here are some images from the maternity session as well as his newborn session.
This is a quick trip back in the time machine – for various reasons I failed to get this little beauty up on my blog when she was still tiny newborn, but even though she’s MUCH bigger now, her newborn session remains one of my favorites. Her peaches and cream complexion went perfectly with the peachy blanket and her Mom & Dad just couldn’t get enough of snuggling with her!
I am always amazed at how fast a year flies by when photographing babies. I swear it was just yesterday that I met Gigi and her mom for the first time! Now she’s a curious 1 year old! Amazing! We decided to head outdoors for her one year portrait session and found DC Ranch Market Street to be the perfect location! Mom, Dad and big brother & sister were on hand to make it a family affair!
