These two kiddos visited me recently in the studio – such an absolute delight to photograph! Mom was a bit nervous about how the kids would do – I reassured her that things would go well! There isn’t a thing her kids could do that my own hadn’t tried a time or two! We had a VERY fun time, as you can tell from the images below:
Last month I was visited by a jet-setting trio of sisters – Sofia and Stella (along with their mom) brought in their adorable new sister, Sera for some portraits. They were in Scottsdale, fresh from Zurich, for a brief stay before moving on to Calgary for the summer and then back to Europe. I admit, I wanted to pack myself a bag head off with them!
The session went beautifully - Sera woke up only for a quick snack and Sofia and Stella are clearly adoring older sisters. Here are a few of my favorites:
This cutie is the latest addition to the babyJACKS club – such an adorable little guy with the sweetest set of parents. I even had the opportunity to meet Grandma and can say that Dylan is surrounded by people who can’t get enough of him!

One of my favorite aspects of being a portrait photographer is the opportunity to work with families over a period of time and watching children grow from toddlers into school-age kids. I first traveled to Maricopa to photograph A, G & A four years ago. Two years ago they came to visit me in my studio, and then last month I visited them at their home for an updated family session. I had a ton of fun and the resulting images are fantastic. Here are a few:
It was a week of Graces in mid-April for me, for just after I photographed the angel you met in the previous post, I was lucky to photograph this beautiful little gal who is also named Grace. We had LOTS of fun playing dress-up with some of my new girly-girl portrait clothing items as well as playing with some of my newer backdrops.

In December I introduced you to my very dear friends who were hoping to adopt a baby to complete their family. In late February they were contacted by birth parents who were looking for the perfect “forever family” to love and cherish their unborn baby girl. Well… long story short, I am so excited to share the newborn images of Miss Grace Elizabeth, newest addition to the J family! I have dubbed myself honorary Aunt and plan to photograph this sweetheart every chance I get – so you will see a LOT of her on the blog!
Whew – where did March go? I can’t believe it’s the end of the month already!
I actually photographed this little doll at the end of February (yes, I am a smidge behind with my blog postings) but hopefully she will forgive my slight delay with her moment in the blog spotlight! Miss K was a joy to photograph and I have a feeling, being the first grandbaby on BOTH sides of the family, that she will be spoiled rotten (as all babies deserve!) Here are a few from her session. 
While Miss Chloé wasn’t born wearing ice skates, I bet she learns how to skate shortly after she walks. With both parents naturals on the ice (mom figure skates and dad plays hockey) she’s destined to be buzzing around the rink if few short years. As you can see, she’s and adorable little thing and a beauty to photograph. Congrats to J & M for creating such a gorgeous little girl!
Miss Abigail, the darling little angel from THIS post, brought her little sister in to meet me a couple of weeks ago. Little Evelyn was the perfect model – sleeping the entire session for us. We played with hats and headbands and snuggled in with big sis’, mommy and daddy – all with beautiful results…
I have to admit I am a bit of a Facebook addict. I think I am getting it under control (I broke my addiction to FarmTown) but I do enjoy the social aspect of it (and seeing all the “OMG! More SNOW!” posts from my Iowa friends/family.Haha! I love AZ!)
