Whew - I think I need a vacation from my vacation! We arrived in town yesterday and I am diligently working my way through messages and emails - I ask that you be patient, but if you haven’t heard from me by Monday, please call or email again.

I will have stories and pictures to share soon - My plan to blog while away was thwarted by a less than reliable internet connection.

I received a report from my friend Christi who informed me that today’s weather in AZ was a bit off for May… I checked the Phoenix temp and here is what I see:

Meet Mr. Ethan - he was my final session before dashing out of town last week - he’s absolutely adorable and while we had to work a little to convince him he didn’t need his paci for all his pictures, he was a pleasure to photograph!

His toes are just TOO cute!

In 24 hours I will be shoving bags in the car and heading to the airport for a two week trip to the Midwest.  I am looking forward to the visit with my family but first I have to survive a three hour plane ride by myself with my two kids. I am not worried about my son - he’s ridden on a plane enough to know how the system works. He’s a great traveler. Sarah, on the other hand, is the wild card. I am crossing my fingers that she will sleep on the plane (our flight takes off about the time she would normally start getting ready for bed).

But, back to my 24 hour countdown - I am scrambling to get last minute client orders taken care of - I have a couple more to ship out tomorrow and several things that are on order that will arrive while I am out of town.  I will be available by email during my trip, but answers may be a bit delayed. I hope to blog some while I am away - I have some sessions I will be editing while out of town, so I will have some sneak peeks to post as well as whatever crazy pics I get of my kids during my trip. We have a lot of fun things planned, so stay tuned to the blog!

Meet Miss Kylie! I just *love* her name! She’s such a sweet little gal! Did splendidly during her session - but did manage to poo on Daddy a few times. It’s all good though - that is what Dad’s are for!

Of course I have to share a smiling picture - it may be just gas, but it’s so darn cute!

I really should specify that it’s 6.75 years old for Miss A - She’s got a summer birthday coming up in July! Mr. D was a joy as well - acting like quite the gentleman doing everything I asked him to do.

I met the duo with their Mom & Dad at the Mesa Arts Center for a session early yesterday morning. We were fortunate to have GREAT weather and the grounds pretty much to ourselves. So many textures and fun architectural details - The kids had fun exploring and I just plain enjoyed myself during all of it!

(Oh, and A&D of them are anticipating a special BIRTHdate in July as well - they have a baby brother on the way! I get to photograph all three of them (and M&D too!) in July. I can’t wait!)

I LOVE this picture. She’s looking over at her mom and just beaming! I think we were talking about the anticipated arrival of her baby brother - definitely a reason to smile!

I will admit - Jax wasn’t overly excited about his session. He was a real trooper but ultimately had other ideas on how he’d prefer to be spending his morning. But, I am happy to report that we prevailed in the goal of obtaining precious newborn images. Here are a few:

The start of a BIG yawn!

This one needs to be a large wall portrait displayed in a location where you can view it daily. As the mom of a boy, I can promise you it’s the type of image that you gaze at and “remember when” while you are cleaning chocolate pudding up off the carpet or black sharpie marker off of the dinning room table!

WhooHoo! I’ve sent in my order to Amazon.com for the Wii Fit system from Nintendo. Super excited about this! Just thought I’d share that you can pre-order it for the May 21st release date! Whoohoo!
