The little, little brother…

I struggled in December to capture the perfect images for our holiday card… Sarah, at 17 months is HARD to photograph - she is so comfortable in the studio that she just runs around like a crazy girl and outdoors… well, lets just say that the world is her playground.
Kevin often likes the *idea* of having is picture taken, but the process to get there can be challenging - clean him up, make sure his hair is neat and putting on that outfit I searched up and down the mall for - it’s enough to wear me out and I haven’t even picked up the camera!
I tried to get both kids together - they just weren’t having it… so they are individual images, but still, I love them.
Sarah-Bear (as we call her)

Kev - 4 Years!

Growing babies have a tendency to remind you how fast time flies by. Miss V’s mom contacted me just before Christmas to schedule her 3 month babyJACKS Session and I almost wanted to refuse the session - only because I couldn’t believe it was time to schedule it! Where did those months go?
It’s fun for me to look at babies when I know their older siblings - to try to figure out who they look more like - their big brother or their big sister. V is the perfect combination - she’s got her sister’s eyes, but shares many expressions of her older brother.

This little guy has to be one of the cutest 6 month olds that I’ve photographed recently - his red hair is gorgeous, his blue eyes adorable and his toothless grin… well, priceless!

It almost pained me to turn this one B&W, but I love how it puts the focus more on his expression!

Miss K came to visit with her mommy to capture some belly pictures before the arrival of her little sibling. She informed me the baby will be named Emma - irregardless if it’s a boy or a girl (mom & dad didn’t want to find out!). She brought with her this cute little stuff puppy that she’s taking care of until the baby gets here and then she will give the puppy over to the baby. I loved this picture - she seems so protective of mom’s belly - I bet she’s going to make a great big sister!

My good friend Christi is the owner of (and designer for) the Sentimental Silverâ„¢ personalized jewelry line. I am a huge fan of her creations and always LOVE the designs she comes up with. She has a bunch of new pendant designs to release and I had the pleasure of photographing some of the items for her over the weekend.
The design below is probably my favorite out of the new ones she has.. I love the tilt to the square, the simplicity of the word LOVED on it and then add in the Tiny Tag for some personalization. This would make a PERFECT Valentine’s Day gift (hint hint to the hubbies!). Visit her website: www.sentimentalsilver.com for more details.

This little gal was my last session of 2007. Originally due on the 26th, Miss O decided that she didn’t want to miss the gift giving and made her grand appearance about a week before Christmas. And her mom tells me she was rather speedy about her arrival - no messing around for Miss O - from first contractions to delivery was right around 3 hours!
Here are a few of my favorite images from her session:

This one makes me just want to crawl into the blanket with her and snuggle.

Notice the pucker of the lips. Love it!

She wasn’t afraid to let us know when she’d had enough (don’t worry Mom - I have a sweet innocent image like this for you in your gallery!)
