November 30th

Friday, November 30th, 2007

Umm… where did November go? I swear yesterday I was taking the kids around the block to trick or treat! It has definitely been a whirlwind month - Lots of great sessions and fun kids! :) I will share a few of them…

Smiley little gal:

A VERY big boy - but lots of fun! He’s quite the international traveler - having lived in Ireland and now is headed to Australia with Mom & Dad!

Remember all those hands on the belly? Well, Baby J arrive and big brothers & sister are VERY happy with the new addition to their family!

Adorable trio from a session at DC Ranch Marketplace - I’ve photographed them since the youngest was a newborn - such fun to watch the kids grow! :)

I love his smile!

Little brother has that quiet charm that makes you want to hug him so tight! Stay tuned for a post in January that will showcase their new little brother due in early 08!

Just one

Wednesday, November 14th, 2007

I’ve been remiss sharing many of my sessions this fall… I have more images that I will try to post over the next few days. So many beautiful kids and their families… just so little time! :)

This is the sweet newborn of a longstanding client of mine - I photographed their middle child (who just turned 3!) when she was a newborn and now I have the privilege of photography baby V as she grows too!

Backyard Siblings

Tuesday, November 13th, 2007

You’ve seen these cuties before on my site and I had the pleasure of photographing them this weekend with their Mom & Dad for holiday portraits. They are such wonderful kids - I’d like to pack them up and take them home and let their cooperativeness rub off on my two “Run! Mommy has the camera” hooligans (that is a WHOLE other post though!)

Big brother (Love the smile!)

Middle Sis (gorgeous eyes!)

Little Sis (isn’t she cute - check out the grip she has on dad’s hands!)

Product Showcase: Gallery Wrap Canvas

Monday, November 12th, 2007

I can’t gush enough over the gallery wrap canvases. I absolutely love them, and I love them BIG! LOL. I have several samples in studio - I think the smallest I have is a 16×24 of Sarah from when she was a teeny tiny newborn (so yes, the 16×24 canvas is larger than life of her at that age!)

I came across a way to show a digital rendition of the gallery wrapped canvases, so you can expect to start seeing some samples in the ordering galleries from on.

What is really cool about this style of canvas is that the image itself wraps around the stretcher frame creating a finished piece that needs no additional framing before it is hung on the wall. The canvases have a very contemporary modern look to them (if you prefer a traditional look, canvases can be done so they are ready to frame.)

Here are a couple of digital samples using some favorite images from recent sessions:

Sunset at Anthem

Friday, November 9th, 2007

If you’ve never been to Anthem Park, it’s definitely a place to visit - they have beautiful areas to have a nice picnic and the playground area and train are sure to be a young child’s dream come true.

Anthem is also one of my favorite parks for on-location sessions. You will be hard pressed to find greener grass this time of year than at Anthem Park. It’s a great place to take advantage of the gorgeous AZ fall weather, but to have something other than cacti and desert sand in your portraits.

We tried little brother on the tracks, too. He was VERY interested in the rocks. :)

2007 - Booked!

Sunday, November 4th, 2007

Well, it has happened - The 2007 schedule is completely booked. Thank you SO MUCH to everyone who chose Meggan Jacks Photography for their holiday portraits! I still have several weeks of sessions to complete, but I no longer have room in the calendar to schedule additional sessions.

I am scheduling sessions for January and February 2008 - so if you missed getting a session scheduled this fall, then the early winter/spring time is definitely a great option - the weather is still spectacular in AZ for on-location sessions!

Just as a reminder - Please be courteous to other clients by placing your order within the two week gallery publication time frame. I build my workflow around this two week ordering period and schedule sessions based on clients placing orders within the alloted time frame. If you are having difficulty blocking time on your calendar to sit down and put together an order and would prefer to meet in person (to make it an actual appointment) just let me know. I would be happy to meet with you in person to put together an order.

Boys of Fall

Thursday, November 1st, 2007

I spent this last Saturday morning with two blonde cuties - The youngest is a babyJACKS client and it’s been great to see him grow!

The morning was perfect for fall portraits and the location was fabulous - the Windgate Ranch community in North Scottsdale. I was amazed at the community center there - simply gorgeous. :)

Can’t forget one of big brother….
